2020 Ford Super Duty Boasts Even More Capability

2020 Ford Super Duty - Toronto, ON

The Ford Super Duty lineup has always been known for its superior capability — and that’s not changing any time soon. The revised 2020 Super Duty pickup now has more torque, payload, and towing power than ever before.

The 2020 Ford Super Duty has raised the bar in its segment, boasting an increase in capability to more than 680 kilograms more towing power than its competitors. The new F-450 can tow up to 16,783 kilograms for a goose-neck — nearly four times what your driver’s license will allow in the majority of provinces. And this increase is across the lineup. For instance, the F-350 boasts a maximum 16,215 kilograms of goose-neck towing.

For the 2020 model year, the Ford Super Duty lineup also comes available with a 6.7-litre Power Stroke® diesel V8 engine. With this engine, the Ford pickup can achieve up to 1,050 lb-ft of torque. That’s 50 lb-ft more than the Ram 3500’s 1,000 lb-ft option. The Ford Super Duty lineup also comes available with a 6.2-litre engine that produces 385 horsepower and gets a class-leading payload of 7,850 pounds, and an all-new 7.3-litre V8, which produces 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque.

If this extra power isn’t enough, you can also get the new Ford Pro Trailer Backup Assist technology, which will allow you to take advantage of all this trailering capability. This tech works to help you reverse when you have a trailer on your hitch, whether it’s a fifth-wheel, goose-neck, or conventional one.

According to Ford, the muscular new 2020 Super Duty should start rolling in at dealership lots across Canada by the end of the year — including here at Downtown Ford.
